Buddhism with its various forms is the most popular religion in Vietnam. It coexists with Confucianism, Taoism and other cults of nature or mythical and historical heroes. Inside the Buddhist pagoda (chua) there are always sculptures of the most important figures of the pantheon, among others Buddha Amitabha. His sculpture is often accompanied by figures of local gods.
