A DISH WITH THE IMAGE OF AN ANCESTOR

Hand made of clay, fired, painted with lime and ochre. Papua New Guinea, Central Sepik province, Aibom village, latmul people; 70-ties of the 20th cent. The pottery was used to carry the pulp of the sago palm tree.
