Countless pictures of deities decorate Nepalese houses, streets, temples and shrines. They are objects of everyday devotion for Buddhists and Hindus. Stone and ceramic steles from the museum's collection present various deities of both religions. Kubera is a Hindu god of richness, worshiped also by Buddhists as Dharmapala - Defender of Law and the guardian of the North.
