Besides the Indonesian collection the Indian one is the second largest in The Asia and Pacific Museum in Warsaw. It includes over 3000 objects, mainly 20th century traditional and folk art. The most valuable are: traditional pata paintings from Orissa and Bengal, paintings of the Warli tribe from the Maharashtra and from the Madhubani region in Bihar. As for the sculptures there are figures of the god Jagannath worshiped in Puri, stone figures of deities from Mamallapuram and alabaster figures from Rajasthan. The oldest ones are stone heads in Gandhara style (1st-4th cent. CE). Rich collection of textiles, accompanied by a group of stencils, originates from Rajasthan, Orissa and Northern India. There are also many devotional articles, popular images and shrines as well as theatre puppets: string puppets from Rajasthan and shadow puppets from Andhra Pradesh.
