Countries of continental South-East Asia beside Vietnam are not so richly represented. The largest group of objects comes from Laos. There are mainly textiles from different regions of that country, some silverware and basketry. From Myanmar (Burma) there are string theatre puppets and lacquerware. The museum has also objects of art from Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia.
